Prosesor Baru Intel "Dipaksa" hingga 5,5 GHz

        Core i7-4790K adalah seri prosesor baru dari Intel yang ditujukan untuk kalangan pengguna enthusiast, termasuk overclocker yang gemar memacu kecepatan prosesor di luar batas spesifikasi.

Nah, untuk membuktikan ketangguhan prosesor berkode nama Devil's Canyon tersebut, Intel mengadakan kompetisi overclocking pada ajang Computex 2014 di Taiwan, hari Selasa (3/6/2014) malam.

Para peserta diminta menggenjot frekuensi kerja Core i7-4790K setinggi mungkin. Hasilnya? "Kami memecahkan rekor dunia dan berhasil mencapai kecepatan 5,5 GHz dengan hanya berbekal (pendingin) udara," kata Lisa Graff, Wakil Presiden Grup PC Client Intel, keesokan harinya.

Core i7-4790K sendiri memiliki arsitektur yang sama dengan seri prosesor generasi sebelumnya, Haswell. Meski demikian, Intel mengganti sejumlah komponen lain di luar inti prosesor. "Kami antara lain memuluskan jalur daya dan meningkatkan kualitas penghantar panas memakai polimer thermal interface untuk menaikkan frekuensi," jelas Graff.

Core i7-4790K merupakan cip desktop pertama dari Intel dengan empat inti yang berjalan dengan kecepatan standar sebesar 4 GHz. Prosesor ini memiliki faktor pengali (multiplier) terbuka sehingga mudah di-overclock.

Intel belum mengungkapkan banderol Core i7-4790K, tetapi disebutkan bahwa harga jualnya akan sama dengan prosesor Core i7-4770K yang dihargai sekitar Rp 3,9 juta di pasaran Tanah Air.

Update Windowsmu Sekarang

Seperti halnya manusia, tidak ada yang sempurna, begitu juga dengan program komputer.

        Sebagus apapun OS pada laptopmu pun demikian halnya spacer. OS tidak dapat dikatakan 100 persen sempurna. Inilah mengapa Micosoft selalu menampilkan fitur Windows Update pada setiap seri Windows yang dirilis. Jika terdapat kekurangan-kekurangan pada OS, seperti masalah celah keamanan, privasi, atau bugs lainnya, maka Windows Update inilah yang akan ‘menambalnya’.

        Windows Update juga akan melakukan pembaruan pada setiap fitur yang ada pada OS, sehingga membantu menjaga OS Windows di laptop kita tetap stabil, aman dan nyaman saat digunakan. Jika selalu ter-update, sistem akan memberitahu bila terdapat ancaman baru terhadap sistem kita. Oleh karena itu, meng-update OS Windows kita secara berkala memang penting dilakukan. Biasanya, jika ada update baru untuk OS, sistem akan otomatis memberikan notifikasi berupa tanda yang muncul pada taskbar.

Bagi pemilik Komputer dengen OS Windows 7, jika kamu ingin melihat langsung dan menginstal Windows Update terbaru, inilah langkah-langkah yang bisa spAcer ikuti:

1. Masuk ke Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Update. Untuk mengetahui jika ada update terbaru atau tidak, spAcer dapat meng-klik Check for updates.  Setelah itu akan muncul tampilan WindowsUpdate.
   

2. Bila ada Update baru, maka spAcer tinggal klik “ Install update”. Namun, jika ternyata tidak ada update yang terlalu penting, maka akan muncul tulisan “No important updates available”. Kendati demikian bisa jadi ada beberapa optional updates yang tersedia.
3. Seperti pada tampilan di bawah ini.
   
4.  Nah, kalau begini, spAcer tinggal memilih update terbaru apa yang ingin di-install pada Windows. Berikan tanda centang pada update yang spAcer kehendaki. Untuk meng-update, kamu tentu saja harus terkoneksi dengan internet. Tentunya cepat atau tidaknya proses update nanti selesai akan bergantung pada kecepatan koneksi internet yang kamu gunakan.
   
5. Setelah memilih update yang ingin di-install, klik ‘OK’. Kemudian akan muncul tampilan seperti ini.
   

6. Klik ‘Install update’ dan tunggu hingga update selesai.

Jangan lupa, selalu update Windows milikmu, ya, karena Windows Update adalah langkah mudah menjaga komputermu tetap aman dan bekerja dengan lancar.

2. Ketikkan "ping<spasi>alamatsitustarget.com" Lalu tekan Enter

"Xanadu", Software Baru Yang Telat dirilis Setelah 54 Tahun

   Project Xanadu adalah konsep publikasi dokumen elektronik secara interaktif melalui komputer yang awalnya mulai dikembangkan pada tahun 1960. Namun, piranti lunak ini berkali-kali mengalami penundaan dan tak kunjung dilepas ke pasaran.

Hingga akhirnya, The Guardian melaporkan bahwa Xanadu telah diperkenalkan ke publik tanpa disertai banyak kehebohan di Universitas Chapman, Amerika Serikat, pada akhir April 2014 lalu.

Jeda waktu selama 54 tahun itu menjadikan Xanadu sebagai software yang paling telat dirilis sepanjang sejarah.

Ted Nelson, pengembang awal Xanadu, adalah pencetus istilah "hypertext" (tautan/ link) di mana sepotong bagian teks dokumen bisa di-klik untuk menuju ke bagian dokumen lain. Isitilah ini diabadikan sebagai awalan  "ht" di prefix internet "http".

Xanadu sendiri adalah proyek hypertext pertama di dunia. Software ini memungkinkan pengguna membuat dokumen yang terkait melalui tautan dua arah ke sumber -sumber. Meskipun sumber mengalami pembaruan, tautan tadi tak akan berubah menjadi broken link, tidak seperti model link satu arah yang ada sekarang.

Xanadu hampir menjadi sistem manajemen informasi yang digunakan di internet, namun kalah cepat dari World Wide Web bikinan Tim Berners-Lee pada akhir dekade 80-an.

Remote Desktop Connection keyboard shortcuts

The following table contains keyboard shortcuts for working with Remote Desktop Connection.

Alt+Page Up	Move between programs from left to right.
Alt+Page Down	Move between programs from right to left.
Alt+Insert	Cycle through programs in the order that they were started in.
Alt+Home	Display the Start menu.
Ctrl+Alt+Break	Switch between a window and full screen.
Ctrl+Alt+End	Display the Windows Security dialog box.
Alt+Delete	Display the system menu.
Ctrl+Alt+Minus Sign (-) on the numeric keypad	Place a copy of the active window, within the client, on the Terminal server clipboard (provides the same functionality as pressing Alt+PrtScn on a local computer).
Ctrl+Alt+Plus Sign (+) on the numeric keypad	Place a copy of the entire client window area on the Terminal server clipboard (provides the same functionality as pressing PrtScn on a local computer).
Ctrl+Alt+Right Arrow	“Tab” out of the Remote Desktop controls to a control in the host program (for example, a button or a text box). Useful when the Remote Desktop controls are embedded in another (host) program.
Ctrl+Alt+Left Arrow	“Tab” out of the Remote Desktop controls to a control in the host program (for example, a button or a text box). Useful when the Remote Desktop controls are embedded in another (host) program.

Note

• Ctrl+Alt+Break and Ctrl+Alt+End are available in all Remote Desktop sessions, even when you've set up the remote computer to recognize Windows keyboard shortcuts.
